We looked at all different types of ornaments to make and so many are so gorgeous but that equated to more time than I had. Many were related to religious beliefs and work doesn't mix with religion or politics.... the answer? Gnomes.
Materials
F hook
Yarn in desired colors - I used Red Heart Super Saver in Cherry Red (hat), Mushroom (body), and white for beard. I used Caron Simply Soft in lt country peach for the nose
Fiberfill
Needle for attaching parts and weaving in ends
Abbreviations
Ch - chain
Mr- magic ring
Sl st - slip stitch
Sc - single crochet
Sc2tog - single crochet 2 together; decrease
F.o. - finish off
Notes
All terms American. If pattern reads "sc, sc2tog, 2sc" it would be read as, " single crochet, single crochet 2 stitches together, 2 single crochet in the next stitch", directions are to be repeated to end of row/round unless otherwise noted. As with any pattern, be sure to read through once before beginning, and don't forget to mark your rounds! (I use a bit of contrasting yarn) This is an original design by me, Anna Wilson 2017.
You may do whatever you like with your completed Gnome, you can decorate with them, donate them, sell them, fundraise with them or even give them as a gift! I only ask that you please not claim this pattern as your own, I worked hard to design my Gnome for the Holidays :)

Finishing
Cut 10 8" pieces of white, join to body with latch hook knot in rnd 14 or 15 of body. Split the yarn ply with a needle. Fit hat over head, I try to tilt it back just a bit, it should cover latch hook knots. Secure hat to head being sure to keep beard hair spread.
Attach nose close to the hat, I try to keep the beard spread here as well.
Weave in ends, trim beard to your liking and enjoy!
See, piece of cake đ
