Materials
- Ww yarn in colors you desire (I used Red Heart Super Saver)
- Materials to embroider mouth
- 9mm safety eyes or embroider
- Fiberfill
- F hook
- Scissors
- Needle (to weave in ends/create features)

Abbreviations
- Ch: chain
- Mr- magic ring
- Sl st: slip stitch
- BLO- back loop only
- FLO- front loop only
- Sc: single crochet
- Sc2tog: single crochet 2 sts together; decrease
- Hdc- half double crochet
- Dc- double crochet
- F.o. : finish off
Notes
All terms American. If pattern reads "sc, sc2tog, 2sc" it would be read as, " single crochet, single crochet 2 stitches together, 2 single crochet in the next stitch", directions are to be repeated to end of row/round unless otherwise noted. As with any pattern, be sure to read through once before beginning, and don't forget to mark your rounds! (I use a bit of contrasting yarn) This is an original design by me, Anna Wilson 2019.
You may do whatever you like with your completed Sun, you can brighten someones day, make as a cute toy for pet or child, sell them, or even give them as a gift! I only ask that you please not claim this pattern as your own, I worked hard to design my Sun :)
Begin with main color
1- mr 6 (6)
2- 2sc (12)
3- sc, 2sc (18)
4- sc2, 2sc (24)
5- sc3, 2sc (30)
6- sc4, 2sc (36)
7- sc5, 2sc (42)
8- sc6, 2sc (48)
9- sc (48) change to ray color, do not cut main color, we will pick back up
10- FLO- *sl st, ch4- begin in 2nd ch from hook- sl st, sc, hdc, sk 1 st, sl st3, ch5- begin in 2nd ch from hook- sl st, sc, hdc, dc, sk 2 sts, sl 2* when the final ray is completed pick up main color again and f.o. ray color.
11- in unworked BLO- sc6, sc2tog (42)
12- sc5, sc2tog (36)
13- sc4, sc2tog (30)
14- sc3, sc2tog (24)
15- sc2, sc2tog (18) stuff!! If adding safety eyes you should add now.
16- sc, sc2tog (12)
17- sc2tog (6) f.o., close opening and weave in ends.
Finishing
Embroider face as desired. You could add a little pink for cheeks if wanted.
