'Member 2016? 'Member Berry keychain *free crochet pattern
'Member 2016?
Yeah I 'member!
The last pattern I am posting this year is for your own 'Member Berry keychain!
My kids have been saying "yeah, I 'member!" Ever since the 'Member Berries arrived on Southpark, so I figured we could 'member 2016 together!
This is a quick and easy pattern that even a beginner could make :-)
Materials
Ww yarn in medium purple (I used Red Heart Super Saver)
Small amt of purple and black embroidery floss for features
6mm safety eyes
Fiberfill
Keyring or lanyard hook/zipper pull
F hook
Scissors
Needle (to weave in ends and create features
Abbreviations
Ch: chain
Mr: magic ring
Sl st: slip stitch
Sc: single crochet
Sc2tog: single crochet 2 sts together; decrease
F.o. : finish off
Notes
All terms American. If pattern reads "sc, sc2tog, 2sc" it would be read as, " single crochet, single crochet 2 stitches together, 2 single crochet in the next stitch", directions are to be repeated to end of row/round unless otherwise noted. 1: Ch9, slide keyring or lanyard hook up to closest chain on hook, sl st in 2nd ch from hook (over the ring, locks it in) sl st in next 6 ch, in last chain: sc6. (6)
2: continue on 6 sc just created keeping key ring on right side of work: 2sc (12)
3: sc, 2sc (18)
4: sc2, 2sc (24)
5-8: sc (24)
9: sc2, sc2tog (18)
10: sc, sc2tog (12) if using safety eyes place them now between rnds 5/6 4 sts apart, stuff your head!
11: sc2tog (6) f.o. close hole with tail of yarn and weave in ends
FINISHING
I used a small amt of purple embroidery thread in a color a little darker than the Member Berry for eyebrows. Use black to create your Member Berry mouth. Be sure to weave in your ends!

Bunny Teether * free crochet pattern
This bunny Teether is quick to whip up and clean up is easy, untie the ears and put a fresh one on while the other is being cleaned ♡
Materials:
F hook
Wood ring - mine are 2 3/4" across center from outside edge to outside edge

Shrunken Head * crochet pattern
It's no secret that I love autumn or that I love Halloween so it should come as no surprise that I would have a cute spooky pattern available this month!
I've been watching the horror movies I've collected over the years and was inspired by a man with a shrunken head in Beetlejuice to create this cute fella to ride around with me as I run mommy errands :-)
Materials:
Ww yarn in color of your choosing- I used Red Heart Super Saver in Warm Brown, black, white & a small at of a darker brown
6mm safety eyes - you could just stitch eyes with black or even use an E Bead
Small amt of fiberfill
F hook
Needle (to weave in ends and attach features)

Begin by lining up lips toward the bottom of the head, st them closely together, only st through begin ch end of work so the lips "stand up"
Attach the eyes a cpl rows above the lips
The safety eyes will be a snug fit, I only pushed through the outer edge of rings, you do not need any stuffing for the eyes. You can embroider or attach beads if you prefer.
Finishing the facial features: I use a bit of black yarn split to 2 ply to create the nose holes and st over the lips. Don't feel constrained, use x's or straight lines, or mix it up like I do. For the nose I just make 2 stitches a bit wider at the bottom of the nose.
Split the darker brown color to 2ply and create little lines going towards the eyes to give a dehydrated look. Remember you are the artist. Change up the lines a bit so it isn't too uniform.
Hair, I cut black yarn lengths of about 10" to create the hair. Just create an outer hair line of black, you will be pulling the hair into a ponytail on top so it just needs the edges lined.
If you want your Shrunken head to hang from your rear view mirror attach black yarn to center point on top of head that keeps head balanced best, ch approximately 55 and sl st back to head where you attached. Take tail ends of yarn and tie tightly, use these ends of yarn to tie pony tail on top of head. If that seems to complicated, just tie the ends tightly and pull up pony tail and use a different bit of yarn to tie off.
Want your Shrunken head to be a keychain? Use same technique as above for attaching ch, just make fewer chs. You can drop a ring on this and fasten off as before.

Teething Ring - free crochet pattern
My best friend has a baby who is teething and I have a grandson exploring his world a with his mouth and teething as well. I had been wanting to make something for my little monsters to use as teether and I happened upon a bunch of wood rings 2 3/4" across and of course I have cotton yarn ;)
We will be crocheting over the ring:
act like the ring is a st, insert your hook, yo, draw up loop, finish as sc (easier than it looks!)

Bobble or Scallop Towel Top *crochet pattern
Event season is coming and everyone always asks if I have any towels...well, I certainly do!
I used to cut the towels in half, sew the cut ends with a sewing machine then stitch with a needle to create the area where I would begin a top. THAT was before. For the past few years I have been in love with just keeping them folded and crocheting directly into the towel! It sounds scarier than it is, I promise.

Continue in this manor approximately every 1/4" until you reach the opposite edge of your towel. I try to keep the numbers even in this row. CHANGE TO G HOOK CH 2 turn

Squatch - a Bigfoot pattern available on etsy

After visiting the Pacific Northwest I knew this guy needed to be made.
I spent a good chunk of my childhood in Seattle where everyone seemed to have a Bigfoot story!
Bigfoot is to the Pacific Northwest what sourdough is to San Fransisco or BBQ is to Memphis, you just know it's known for it ;)
the pattern is currently out to 3 testers and I am making a few more for my kids so I hope this pattern will be released this week!

Amazing Crochet Bowl - crochet pattern
I've seen a few bowls people have crocheted and I wanted to give it a try myself!
After some brainstorming with my marmie I think I've come up with a decent design :)
You need an intermediate level of crochet experience or a very ambitious beginner :) you will be working in continuous rounds over clothesline to give some stiffness and form to your bowl. I find it best to mark my rounds with a scrap of yarn to keep track of the rounds.
Materials
* Ww yarn of your choice (I used Caron Simply Soft Stripes "the Keys" color and "pink camo" is also pictured)
* H Hook
* clothesline (mine is from Walmart for $1.97 and is acrylic/nylon)
* lighter- I used to keep the end of the clothesline from fraying
* Scissors- must be able to cut clothesline
* needle for weaving ends

Pacific Waves Market Bag
Still burning through my marmie's yarn stash! Here is a pattern using size 10 cotton crochet thread to create a handy little bag that can collapse into itself for easy storage.
Materials
* #10 cotton thread. I used Aunt Lydia's classic 10 in Fudge Brown (color 1) & Delft (color 2)
* E Hook
* button (optional)
Abbreviations
* ch : chain
* sl st : slip stitch
* beg : beginning
* sc : single crochet
* dc : double crochet
* hdc : half double crochet
* tr : treble
* y.o. : yarn over
* f.o. : finish off
* false sc2tog: insert hook into same st pull up a loop, insert hook into next st pull up a loop, y.o. draw through all three loops on hook

Vacation has started!

Super Bulky Baby Bear
My beautiful niece is pregnant after a tubal 5 years ago...not just pregnant...identical twin girls! I had to get crocheting for these new little sweeties!
I started with a great baby socks pattern from Mamma That Makes. These are fabulous little booties/socks with sizes down to 26-28wk. I whipped up 10 pairs in 32 week size, twins tend to be a bit smaller ;)
My bff found some yarn on clearance and picked some out for me, among the yarns were a couple Bernat Baby Blanket...so soft! I love these soft yarns for babies :) So I started immediately on a teddy pattern to use Bernat Baby Blanket super bulky yarn. Each Super Bulky Baby Bear took less than 1 skein to complete project.
Materials:
*Super Bulky yarn (size 6) I used Bernat Baby blanket in "Little Girl Dove" & " Little Lilac Dove"
*L hook
*tapestry needle
*scissors
*small amt of ww yarn or embroidery floss for face details
* fiberfill
Abbreviations:
* ch: chain
* sl st: slip stitch
* sc: single crochet
* sc2tog: single crochet 2 stitches together (decrease)
* dc: double crochet
* f.o. : finish off
Finishing:
Attach the body parts in ways look good to you. I sew the ends of arms and legs closed flat before attaching, but you can do however you prefer.
After attaching all the body parts it's time to get creative! How do you want your bear to look, just a nose and eyes? Or do you want to add more features? I added 2 eyelashes to each eye for my bears.
