New Hat design...Contest!

I made a hat for myself many years ago when my youngest daughter started high school...school colors... this proud Band Mom had to have an amazing hat to support my amazing daughter during the football games!
My sweet nephew Joey wearing my hat (BBB is Blazing Blue Band)

My sweet little kinders in their hats
Jayce a.k.a. Red Beard is wearing Black & Flame, Noo Noo is wearing light pink and a darker pink.
Although I used two colors for those hats, a variegated yarn alone looks very cool! (I prefer the single color method due to ease of making and I really like the fullness it creates!)

I've  made a few alterations and I am currently writing up the pattern in many sizes.  I will NEED pattern testers!

I also need a name for this hat!  Visit Mommy Made Crochet on Facebook for more info!

The name that gets the most votes will be the winner!  And the person who suggested the name will receive a free copy of the pattern or a completed hat (for those that don't crochet).

Some yarns need a run through the washer & dryer to give them more bounce, Red Heart Super Saver looks amazing after washing! So... no need for expensive yarns unless you want to use them!

Thank you!!

DeSoto County Fair Blue Ribbon Winner!

I couldn't be any more proud of my crochet than I am right now!  Edgar & Alan (The Frog Brothers) have won Blue Ribbons at our county fair!

A friend has an amazing daughter in 4-H and she was showing rabbits...she won Grand Champion and more with her rabbits.  (I have not been to the fair yet, so this is Facebook Fair stuff lol) I commented congratulations and my friend responded with a photo of my green giants with BLUE RIBBONS!!!!!  I was so excited I cried lol

Yes, I am proud

After the fair is over Edgar & Alan will be available in my Etsy shop :)

Well, I guess that means that when I get the chance to type I will need pattern testers! I currently have a special bear pattern in the works that will need more eyes on it and the Frogs will be coming soon.  I need crocheters to check my patterns for errors before I offer them to the public.  I would like a turn around time of a week with any corrections you find :)  If you are interested please contact me and I will put you on a list.  Pattern will be free for testers on the bear and frog.  After The patterns have been tested they will be available on Etsy.

Little Heroes

As I try to design a new pattern I may make a few different versions until I feel like I am on the right track.  Here is my current project in a few pictures.
This first version of a  'Little Hero' is similar to the monster amigurumi I have made in the past. The base is weighted with PVC pellets.
This is my second version of the 'Little Hero'.  This guy is based a bit on my Watermelon Southern Belles pattern.

So far I think I like the second 'Little Hero' best.  But I have one more trick up my sleeve ;)  My goal is to get a pattern made soon!  And then I will need pattern testers!
